About the Mental Health Professional

Hi! I’m Brittany Cilento Kopycienski

My Professional Passion as a Mental Health Therapist

I am passionate about the work I do as a Mental Health Therapist because of the fulfillment I get from helping others navigate their challenges and supporting them on their journey towards overall well-being. I also find joy in building meaningful connections with individuals and witnessing their growth and transformation over time. I believe in power of therapy to help people lead happier, more fulfilling, and authentic lives.

My journey as a Mental Health Therapist started from my own personal experiences of when my glow was diminished. Finding support was key in me keeping my flame glowing and maintaining the ongoing light. I want to give others the gift that was given to me.

Education, Training, and Treatment Approach

I obtained my Masters degree in Professional Clinical Counseling from LaSalle University. I received my undergraduate degree from King’s College, where I studied Psychology and Neuroscience. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and Certified Trauma Professional. I hold a certification and license in Addiction Treatment. I am also a Licensed Counselor in the states of PA and NJ.

I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and hold a certification in DBT skills training. The majority of my graduate school career focused upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have post graduate training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Treatment, Trauma Informed Treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am also trained in and hold a certification in professional mental health supervision. I regularly provide supervision and trainings to pre-licensed and licensed mental health professionals.

My approach is relational and collaborative. I deeply value the relationship I build with each individual. I believe individuals have the autonomy to move a pace they are comfortable with,  while also having me encourage and support them to move towards achieving their treatment goals. Therapy I provided is trauma & culturally informed, evidence based (back by research), and supportive. Past clients described me as warm, knowledgeable, patient, validating, and supportive. I also pride myself on being an expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Treatment, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I find that utilizing an eclectic (all treatment orientations inclusive) treatment approach helps individuals effectively work through their struggles and develop the skills they need to achieve their goals and maintain meaningful change.
